About toolsfor.co

What toolsfor.co is

toolsfor.co is a directory of small, single-purpose web tools — calculators, converters, lookups, and generators — grouped into themed clusters (money, health, developer, reference, and more). Each tool is built to do one job well: open it, use it, get an answer, done.

The site is run independently, not by a large company. It's built and maintained by one operator with the help of AI-assisted development tools, and it grows one tool at a time.

How the tools work

Every tool on this site runs entirely in your browser. Calculations, conversions, and generated output happen on your device using JavaScript — nothing you type into a calculator or generator is uploaded to a server or stored anywhere. A handful of "lookup" tools (for example, address or reference lookups) call a public, third-party API directly from your browser to fetch the requested data; those requests go straight from your browser to that API provider, not through toolsfor.co's own servers, because there is no toolsfor.co backend.

There are no accounts, no logins, and no paid tiers. Every tool is free to use.

How the site is funded

toolsfor.co is supported by display advertising (Google AdSense) and anonymised traffic analytics (Google Analytics). This is what keeps every tool free and account-free. See the Privacy Policy for exactly what that involves.
