Summary

toolsfor.co does not require an account, does not ask you to sign in, and the tools themselves do not send what you type to any toolsfor.co server — calculations happen locally in your browser. This page explains the two things that do collect data on this site: Google Analytics and Google AdSense.

Analytics (Google Analytics)

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand which tools are used and how visitors navigate the site — page views, approximate location (country/city level, from IP address), device type, and referring site. This data is aggregated and is not used to identify you personally.

Analytics cookies are only set after you accept them in the cookie banner shown on your first visit, or if your browser's Do Not Track / consent signals allow it under Google's Consent Mode. You can decline analytics cookies and still use every tool on the site normally.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

This site shows ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar technology to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other sites, and to measure ad performance. This is standard third-party advertising cookie behaviour, not something toolsfor.co controls directly.

You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ad Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info.

Declining the advertising cookie option in our consent banner sets ads to a non-personalised mode where supported by your region.

What individual tools do with your input

Calculators, converters, and generators run entirely in your browser using JavaScript. What you type into them (numbers, text, dates, files you upload for a client-side tool like an image resizer) is processed on your own device and is never transmitted to toolsfor.co.

A small number of "lookup" tools send a request directly from your browser to a named public API or public data source (for example, a postcode lookup or a domain WHOIS check) to fetch the information you asked for. That request goes straight from your browser to that third party, governed by that third party's own privacy policy — toolsfor.co does not see, log, or store the query.

Local storage

Some tools save your preferences (like a light/dark theme choice, or an in-progress form) in your browser's own local storage so they persist between visits. This data stays on your device and is never sent to toolsfor.co or any third party.

Children's privacy

toolsfor.co is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your choices

• Decline analytics/advertising cookies in the consent banner shown on first visit.
• Clear cookies and local storage for this site at any time through your browser settings.
• Use your browser's "Do Not Track" or a content/ad blocker — every tool still works without ads or analytics running.
