Crypto Staking & APY Reward Calculator
Calculate compounded staking rewards from a nominal APR and compounding frequency, see the true effective APY, and optionally convert to a fiat value.
Final balance
1,083.2776 tokens
Total rewards
83.2776 tokens
Effective APY
8.33%
Estimated fiat value

Fiat figures use the token price you entered above, not a live market rate — this tool has no live price feed, so update the price yourself to keep the fiat estimate current.
About this tool
How to use it
- Enter how many tokens you're staking and the nominal APR (annual percentage rate) your staking provider quotes.
- Pick how often rewards compound — daily, weekly, monthly, or quarterly — this changes your effective return even at the same nominal APR.
- Enter how many months you plan to stake for.
- Optionally enter a token price in dollars to see an estimated fiat value — this is your own number, not a live market rate.
Why it matters
Two staking pools both advertising '8% APR' can pay out different real returns depending on how often rewards compound — daily compounding earns more than annual compounding at the same nominal rate, because each reward starts earning its own rewards sooner. The 'effective APY' figure makes pools with different compounding schedules actually comparable.
When to use it
Comparing two staking offers that quote APR differently or compound on different schedules. Estimating how a stake will grow over a specific holding period before committing. Understanding why a staking dashboard's real return doesn't match the advertised percentage exactly.
Good to know
This tool has no live cryptocurrency price feed — the fiat value shown is calculated purely from the price you type in yourself, and is only as current as that number. All token-denominated figures (final balance, total rewards) are the actual output of the compound interest formula and don't depend on price at all. Real staking rewards can vary from a fixed APR in practice due to network conditions, validator performance, slashing risk, or protocol changes — this calculator models a constant rate for the full period, which real staking rarely is exactly.
Common questions
What's the difference between the APR I entered and the 'effective APY' shown?
APR is the simple, nominal annual rate before compounding is applied. Effective APY is what that same rate actually becomes once compounding is applied at your chosen frequency — it's always slightly higher than the nominal APR (except at annual compounding, where they're equal), and the difference grows with compounding frequency.
Is the fiat value using a live crypto price?
No — this tool has no live price feed. The fiat figures are calculated using whatever price you type into the token price field, so update it yourself if you want a current estimate; leave it blank to see only the token-denominated results.
Will I actually earn exactly this much?
This calculator assumes a constant APR for the entire period, which real staking rarely provides exactly — actual rewards can move with network conditions, total amount staked network-wide, validator uptime, and protocol parameter changes. Treat this as a projection based on today's rate, not a guarantee.
Why does daily compounding give more rewards than monthly at the same APR?
Compounding more often means each reward starts earning its own rewards sooner — daily compounding reinvests 365 times a year instead of 12, so the smaller, more frequent additions to the principal have more time to compound before the year ends.
Is this financial advice?
No — this is a compound interest calculator for a rate and duration you specify. It doesn't evaluate the risk of any particular staking protocol, token, or provider, and isn't a recommendation to stake anything.
