About this tool

How to use it

  1. Click the scientific keypad buttons or type algebraic expressions directly using your keyboard.
  2. Toggle between DEG (Degrees) and RAD (Radians) modes for trigonometric calculations (sin, cos, tan).
  3. Use parentheses for complex nested equations, powers (^), square roots (sqrt), and memory functions (M+, MR, MC).
  4. Press '=' or Enter to evaluate, and review previous calculations in the interactive history tape.

Why it matters

['Traditional handheld scientific calculators are easily misplaced and physical button menus can be slow to navigate.', 'This online scientific calculator provides instant expression preview, formula error validation, and memory recall without intrusive ads blocking the keypad.', '100% client-side execution ensures your calculations are instant and completely private.']

When to use it

['Working on high school or university STEM homework in mathematics, physics, chemistry, or engineering.', 'Verifying trigonometric angles, exponential decay, logarithmic decibels, or statistical permutations on a desktop or mobile device.', 'Needing a quick, keyboard-accessible scientific tool during exams, lab sessions, or technical project reviews.']

Common questions

How do I switch between degrees and radians?

Click the 'DEG / RAD' toggle button at the top-left of the keypad. The active mode is clearly highlighted, ensuring trigonometric functions like sin, cos, and tan evaluate using your chosen unit.

Can I use my physical computer keyboard?

Yes! You can type numbers, decimal points, operators (+, -, *, /), powers (^), parentheses, and press Enter to evaluate or Escape to clear the display.

How does the memory register work?

MS stores the current display into memory; MR recalls it; M+ adds the current number to memory; M- subtracts it; and MC clears the stored value.

Is internet access required to run calculations?

No. Once the web page loads, the calculation engine runs entirely within your browser's JavaScript runtime, functioning fully offline without server roundtrips.
