Common questions
What is an Amiibo and how does it work with Nintendo consoles?
Amiibo are collectible character figures and cards produced by Nintendo equipped with near-field communication (NFC) chips (NTAG215) that transmit in-game unlocks, bonuses, and AI character data when tapped to Nintendo Switch, Wii U, or New 3DS controllers.
How does the collection valuation calculator estimate market prices?
Valuations aggregate historical secondary market collector averages, taking into account rarity waves, regional packaging exclusives, and out-of-print print runs.
Is my Amiibo checklist saved between browser sessions?
Yes. Your checklist state persists automatically in your browser's local storage (`localStorage`). You can also export your collection state as JSON or CSV anytime.
Can I filter figures by specific Nintendo game series?
Yes. You can filter by Super Smash Bros., The Legend of Zelda, Super Mario, Splatoon, Fire Emblem, Animal Crossing, Metroid, and other dedicated lines.
Is this tool affiliated with Nintendo?
No. This is an independent, community-created collector tracking tool. All character names, trademarks, and logos remain the intellectual property of Nintendo.
